What We Wore: Monochrome Camel

It’s no secret that I have been digging the turtleneck this season. I just featured one in my last post and have many more in my closet! Since we have been having some unseasonably warm weather this autumn, I had the perfect opportunity to wear this look. This sweater tank from Forever 21 is perfect for people like me who just can’t quite let go of summer but also love fall fashion. I just adore the color of this sweater. It is the perfect camel, almost chestnut color that looks warm and cozy, like a quiet night curled up by a fire. I chose to pair it with another huge trend that I have been seeing this season: a suede button-down skirt. This skirt is also from Forever 21, but I love it because it is genuine suede, and you can definitely see and feel the quality of it. This skirt also lends itself to the ongoing 70s trend that has taken over the fashion world, and I could totally imagine wearing this piece a million ways throughout the year! I kept the colors monochrome so as to better accentuate the textures of both top and bottom. I think the overall look is both understated and chic.

Kieran is also wearing camel/chestnut brown jeans that I picked up at Target for next to nothing and have been reaching for over and over again this fall! They are a great neutral, yet interesting color. For his shirt, I chose this adorable colorful southwestern pattern top from Gap (on sale right now!). It is made with sweatshirt material and is light, but cozy. I love the pop of blue in his bandana and the mixture of patterns between that and his shirt. 151006EM_5036 151006EM_5042 151006EM_5040 151006EM_5039 151006EM_5038
